It's A Mundane World

That photo is just to wake you all up, including myself.

Birdman won best picture and best director at the academy awards.  Apparently the song from “Selma” called “Glory” or something, won.  The best actor from “The Theory of Everything” won.  The best news of course was that “American Sniper” – didn’t win.  I was so worried about that.  I was afraid they’d hype the movie till it couldn’t help but win.    But “Hollywood likes films about Hollywood”.   I don’t get this “Boyhood” thing.  How can you tell a young boy he’ll be starring in a movie twelve years from now?  It makes no sense.  Billy Crystal, Ellen Degenerous or Whoopi Goldberg were better comedians than they had on this year, according to Bill Press.  Bill didn’t think “Birdman” was that great.  Bill Press, from his Washington DC perspective thinks the Oscars are on at the wrong time on a Sunday night.  It’s now colder and much cloudier than it was at breakfast time.  More rain looks possible.  Even though I’m in better health now I still am tired a lot.  Last night for dinner we had the awful teriyaki chicken with rice and mixed vegetables.  But we got pie for dessert.   There did turn out to be rain- - though not at four thirty- - but at some time after five when rain was reported in Hollywood.  As expected the rain was heaviest in places like Pasadena.   I missed the opening monolog of the Academy awards and really have been apathetic about this year’s awards.  I also dialed away at seven to see the Bob Simon tribute on Sixty Minutes.  I watched the first half hour.  “I’ve Been Everywhere” would be a great RL update song for this guy.  He actually “reassigned himself” because he didn’t like that his “promotion” was a desk job.

In congress on February 11th there was a move to grant congressional medals for a neglected aspect of American History.  There was a tribute to the “foot soldiers of Selma” in Congress that actually got by-partisan support.  Both the Dem and the Rep speech highlighted the facts.  Sunday, bloody Sunday was the day of the massacre on the Edmond Petis bridge.   Were they told not to cross that bridge, or was it just because they are easier targets when on a bridge?   That was March 7th and then there was “Turnaround Tuesday” on March 9th 1965.  Martin Luther King was marching with them but stopped at the site of the massacre on Sunday and knelt to pray, and then felt a peace from the Spirit about just turning around and going back.  I watched a thing on Cyber Security at the Governor’s conference.  Governor Snyder was chairman but was unable to appear because of over-stressing himself in exercise.  Then there was some survey that showed that Europeans really go for the latest trade treaty between the United States and Europe.  Only in Germany and in Austria did the measure not get a majority of approval with the people.  The people are fools.  They would give away their higher standards of production and safety and cleanliness just because that dirty Black guy in the White House wants them to.    I had “Face the Nation” on and John Mc Cain was a guest.   The Ukraine is being carved up like the West Bank with access corridors and things.  Putin seems to care not a bit that the cease fire was violated as longer as Russia gains the military advantage.

MORON MAY YOUR "JULIE, JULIE, JULIE DOES HE LOVE AMERICA?  I’m going to try and scrape together enough material for a blog posting today.   Thom Hartman and others say that Giuliani has no business talking about “The values he was raised with” because Barock Obama’s grandfather fought in the landing at Normandy on D Day.  On the contrary - -  Giuliani’s father led a life of life of crime, as a shake-down artist and beating up people, smashing knee caps.  Two gentlemen should mutually agree “I don’t want to play that game” but now that the Ex Mayor has opened the door- - I guess family is fair game.  But now the mayor had doubled down the next day- - refusing to retract anything.  On the Sean Hannity show he piles it on ever so thick saying ‘Unlike Obama- - - I actually lived through 9 – 11”.    Since Michael Steel has been a regular on “Hardball” he had moderated his far right political stances.

I had this dream as part of a recurring dream.  I’d have these recurring dreams about Dad taking me to this doctor’s office to get this special psychotropic drug that makes you feel funny but apparently after a while “you get used to it’ and it has “unique benefits to people with my condition”.   Well now this drug has a name called Nagano, and Ron Rhodes also takes it.  And the drug has gone commercial because there is a game called BIM - - that involves patterns and lines and you have to take the drug to alter your brain perception so you see other patterns in the lines and excel in the game.  (Is there an actual game called BIM?) But they said if you exceed four milligrams the “brain resets itself” and (?) you no longer get the distorted perception.   Can anybody decipher the meaning?

At this point in the month of February physically I’m about feeling back to normal, or at least as healthy as very early in the month.   My blogger rates are about half of what they were as there regularly seems to be less inspiration out there, at least for me, to write about.   Free Speech radio never again went live in the morning and pretty much went off entirely, period.  We had mushroom soup and tuna sandwiches for lunch.  Not my favorite on either account.  We had coleslaw and a banana for desert.  I let Sean Hannity rave hysterically a while and then turned him off about twenty after.  But when I turned on the TV there was this vertical streak thing on the screen a few seconds.  Normally I wouldn’t pay such a thing any attention, but big problems begin as little problems such as this.  It may take several months for the situation to get really bad but I imagine in time there will come a point when the TV is unusable.  I watched Days of our Lives.  Rico only served us one coffee and then went to the Senior Topics class.  But we also got small containers of lemon ice milk or something- - that didn’t spare the yellow food coloring.

In terms of my finances there are three and a half days to go till I get paid.  I should be glad but another problem just struck me.  If some sort of check isn’t cashed BEFORE the end of this month I’ll exceed the legal two thousand dollars in money in my account I’m allowed to have and I won’t get dinged $35.00 but perhaps a thousand dollars, which sounds insane, but that’s the way the law is written.  The idea of “real assets” meaning fresh money from an outside source never occurred to these people.  They aren’t interested in causality – only bank figures, and I’ve been down this road before them and barely escaped with my financial life.   Every day I don’t buy coffee or cigarettes I figure I’ve “saved” money.   So arguably since I have not bought ANY cigarettes or coffee in three days- - that’s at least nine dollars, as I figure it.  If I write this place out a new place for ten dollars I can “spend” up to ten more dollars in the next three and a half days.   I didn’t even get to ask about the hike in drug co pays this month.
