House Vote Fails as DHS Deadline Fast Approaches

The department of Homeland Security will not make their funding deadline of tonight, but instead will be forced to close down, thanks to John Boehner.  He tried this three week vote thing which he knew was doomed, but he did it anyhow.  John Boehner could have done a sensible thing and followed what the US Senate did this morning and voted on a “clean” bill with funding through this September.  But the vast majority of the time when John Boehner has a choice- - -  he decides most often in favor of the ultra right tea party members in his own party, even when putting a clean bill up to a democratic vote would be the most sensible thing to do and let the chips fall where they may.  Because of John Boehner’s action- - “essential” DHS workers will have to show up for work and not get paid, and in the mean time the government will have yet another ongoing crisis on its hands. But eighty percent of the Department of Homeland Security will still go on working.  So it's another bogus shutdown.  And those workers will no doubt get paid anyhow, retroactively in a week or two, and this government 'shutdown' will end up COSTING more money than anything that could conceivably be saved.  (Selah)

Borris Memtsov was assassinated- - gunned down at the request of Vladimir Putin, because he was a political obstacle, which is how the Russian culture deals with these kinds of problems.  Memtsov was apparently a former deputy Prime Minister.  Regardless of what Putin might say publicly, we all pretty much know how he really feels.  The idea of a democratic vote and let the chips fall where they may- is unthinkable.  And so the evidence grows by the day that Putin is power mad.  He has nukes and says he’s not afraid to use them.

A crazed gunman went on a shooting spree Thursday night in Missouri killing four cousins and three other people, and then turned the gun on himself.  It’s my contention that the hottest places in hell are reserved for these murder suicide type shootings.   Norman Goldman says “Next time with cases like this- - try killing YOURSELF first- - and after that, THEN you can turn the gun on the others”.   They say that guns don’t kill; people kill.  But you don’t put bullet holes in people with a pea shooter or s sling shot or a box cutter.   It’s just another white dude in the middle of the Bible belt- - and nobody asks, “What would Jesus do?”

Sometimes you get silly articles like this C-Net thing on Net Neutrality.  No - - Net Neutrality will not end world hunger or eliminate global warming or bring about world peace.  It won’t speed up your current slow internet if you suffer from one.  And net neutrality will not stop the merger between Comcast and Time-Warner.  The FCC ruling will not in and of itself “increase competition” from what it is right now.  No.  But nobody is saying this is the ONLY remedy that needs to be undertaken, but merely the first.  We have to stop merger fever.  And we have to control these preemptive laws (by States?) which state that individual cities cannot build their own, super fast, free public internet.  We have a lot of work yet to do, for sure!

Area that is beyond an “event horizon” is NOT “sequestered”, like a jury is sequestered.  And there is nothing "different" about area now visable to you beyond the event horizon.  It's just that before you didn't see it, and now you do.  If you accelerate - - your “event horizon” moves.  The faster you are moving, the more your event horizon shifts.  Many of you may be fuzzy on what happens to the gravitational field once an object is accelerated - - - - either approaching, at, or beyond the speed of light.  If you look at it strictly in terms of gravity - - I’ve given this thought.  The “circle” of a gravity field becomes off center- - and when the “center” is “on the line” you are at the speed of light.  Beyond the speed of light there remains a gravity field- -  but now with the “line” on the other side – “up” and “down” are now reversed.  What this means in practical terms is that- - once the “line” is on the “other side” gravity flip flops.  It reverses.  Now there is no fixed “line” like “city limits” of gravity.  It's just that to indicate gravity direction - - draw an arrow away from the "line' and to the center (of the gravity).  It’s a continuoum where gravity gets weaker and weaker.  But yes there is a point where you pass this “ghost center” of gravity - - .  When you are AT this “ghost center” gravity is very strong.  Then it suddenly reverses meaning that the object you are pursuing- - now appears to be actually Repelling you.  After all, you are now being pulled backward to this “ghost point” center of gravity.   But if you are ON this traveling vessel - - - “losing your gravity” does NOT apply to you because YOU relative to YOU are still stationary.

Lennard Nemoy died today of cardiac complications.  He was 83.  He accepted that he’d always carry the Mr Spock identity- - and closed his web site greetings with l l a p, or live long and prosper, the Valcan salutation.  Of course Nemoy also did “Unsolved Mysteries” and other voice-overs and produced two of the Star Trek movies, and also produced “Three Men and a Baby” in 1987.  What you want to know is whether the Orion Federation - - is Lennard Nemoy’s destination after death.  I don’t know that.  There were two prominent deaths in the fall of 1991, Freddy Mercury and Gene Rodenberry, and neither of those was a “good death” and both are said to have an adverse afterlife.  Both of these deaths took place during the Taccoman occupation period of Federation communacations, which is a polite word for Propaganda Dept.  The Taccomans in this era also made a big thing out of Magic Johnson being diagnosed with AIDS.  Bones (the BOSC Bones, that is) was asked to weigh in on a voluntary Taccoman takeover of communacations, and Bones initially said “I don’t know anything about the Taccomans” but then a few hours later came back with- - a reminder of that time in September of 1990 he was given a two or three week “furlough” from that Rhondonian curse that lasted four years- - - and if you don’t know the details of that, come back another day.   But other than that Bones knew less about the Taccomans than I do, and I don’t know that much.

In soap land- - Eve Larsen can’t handle success.  She got everything she wanted with respect to JJ and still she is mad at the girl JJ got to “impersonate the girl he’s having the affair with”.   I had Bill Carol on before and after lunch and he was talking about this “blue dress” that everyone thinks is a different color on the internet.  Net neutrality is in the news but of course we talked about it in a posting back on February 7th or something, so we were some two and a half weeks ahead of the learning curve on that one.  But the head of the FCC made a big speech yesterday saying that all he wants to do is to keep the internet free, just as it has been.  Apparently Rush Limbaugh is all upset over it.  Some say it’s been a good week for progressive since Obama vetoed the Trans-Canada pipeline earlier in the week.  And now the Republicans are fighting each other in congress.  The latest news is that they are going to vote out a “Clean” bill funding Homeland Security for just three weeks till March 21st.   To me this seems rather pointless.  I still say it’s better to concede the point- - and let them revoke President Obama’s measures on immigration that he did without their permission.  He wondered if he’d get congressional permission for his acts, and now he knows he won’t have Congress’ blessing, and that ought to end it.

And now we move to a slightly more- - - “Real” topic.  Judy and Paul called up wanting to know when the BOSC house was sold and when the Dana Point place was purchased.  I knew they were close together, or had that association in my mind.  It turns out that the purchase and sell dates were one day apart in mid June of 1991.  [sentence edited out here]  It would seem that Mom officially has Alzheimers.  I guess it’s nice to put a name to the condition.  The doctors told Paul and Judy yesterday and they are going to talk more with them this afternoon.  I didn’t know that Mom went all the way down to Vista for the examination.  Paul says coconut oil works wonders on brain alertness, or at least it did for Paul.  The brain runs on fat, so if you supply the brain with good saturated fats it figures it will do better.  I reviewed my own history with GNLD with Judy.  Paul suggested that since perhaps Mom was reading books on Alzheimers disease as early at 2012 that perhaps she has mentally prepared herself for dealing with this disease.  It would be nice to “nip this disease in the bud” right now, huh?

Just For The Record

There is a fifteen minute video that explains exactly how ISIS was formed and funded.  It's not a question of what the United States needs to DO - - Now or whenever, to combat ISIS.  It rather is what the US had done in the past and CONTINUES to do NOW that insures ISIS and groups like ISIS will continue.  This video exposes the LIE that somehow "Obama LOST Iraq", which Bush had won and Obama blew it.  Let's not overly complicate history here.  The Iraq war WAS won, so to speak.  But ISIS was not YET in existance.  It's like that Star Trek episode involving "Q" and Captain Piccard, where Piccard CAUSED this whole "Time" crisis to occur with the universe falling apart or whatever.  But the crisis HAD NOT occurred until the good Captain himself, with his own premeditated actions DID something to CAUSE the crisis, which he finds himself now combating as though it were a REAL crisis of external origin.  Let me translate that into present day terms.  There WAS no ISIS in 2011, or 2012 or even much of 2013.  So two years AFTER our last troops were OUT of Iraq, based on a decision made by President Bush in 2008, there WAS no "crisis" in Iraq.  John Mc Cain and others like him FUNDED this offshot of the "Free Syrian Army" and the "Free Syrian Army itself contributed to ISIS as did Israel and Turkey and of course Saudi Arabia and the other usual suspects.  John Mc Cain actually POSED in photographs with future ISIS members.  But ISIS was still nothing in mid 2013.  There was also all this military equipment we left in the desert just waiting for some outfit like ISIS to find and use them.  Even in the early part of 2014 ISIS was not that big a deal.  Of course President Obama is not the brightest bulb in the box.  So he made remarks like ISIS being like the junior varsity team.  It wasn't till June of 2014, just last year, that ISIS became a real threat.  And you know the rest.  Of course some left wing bloggers said that ISIS only tortures because our troops did it first.  But the lie gets repeated over and over by Limbaugh and Hannity that somehow our mission in the Iraq War was not yet accomplished and that we "cut and ran" even though the organization that is NOW a threat in the region did not even EXIST till two whole years after our last troops had left Iraq in 2011.  So I don't want our country being involved in fighting any thirty year war.  You know the history of all the Islamic groups that our government gave AID to only to have that aid turn against us.  There IS no need for some hocus pocus "Out of the Box" thinking.  No original thought need be involved.  Just STOP what we are doing now and GET OUT of the area and let the dust settle, which in time, it will, if we don't mess it up again.

I wanted to change subjects entirely and talk about this whole idea of "Formatted Space".  This is actually a Star Trek concept only in this episode the "space" had numeric coordenates based on Time rather than Space.  The question then was "Today's space" verses "Tomorrow's Space".   But no Time need be involved in my presentation of "Romulan Style cloaking devices", where I have gotten very specific in the past about it.  And I won't go into all the background now.  But some analogies actually "work" to foreshadow future events, such as the phrase "The faboric of space".   Just as threads making up a fabric are not a "solid mass" but have spaces in them so that water may pass through the cloth or whatever- - so once you catch the notion that there is some sort of physical Substance to space- - this opens up the whole idea of what this physicality is based on.  We've told you just like "the waves analogy" so you add like fractions in school with a common "denominator".  You can add for instance 2 X and 3 X to logically derive the answer of 5 X.  But still there is the unknown denominator, which is how we have viewed space since the Beginning.  We are all trapped in this "common denominator".   Some like Neil Savedra would say that overcoming gravity is an inherent physical possability to gain the sort of massive acceleration necessary for inter-stellar space travel.  But others have said that "gravity always pulls Down" as though "Down" were some kind of a God given absolute.  Scientists often know things the average citizen doesn't.  The Greeks by astronomic measurements and trigonometric deductions- - Knew the SIZE of the earth much more accurately than- - Columbus did, saying the radius was significantly greater than Columbus for his own reasons, believed that it was.   We know that three points DEFINE a plane, in the same way- - - the homosexual lobby says that two people in love and devoted to each other DEFINE a marriage, and this definition is fast becoming the law of the land.  But to use a digital analogy to represent space- - - four points have to CONFORM to something besides themselves.  They have to be co-pleanear to continue to define a plane.  All of the geometry and physics as we know it has to be in this "co-plainear" vein.  If something doesn't conform to the set algerithm, then it doesn't fit and the scientists can't use it- - and spacially it can have no physical representation in our universe as we know it.  Baryons, Leptons - and all the other building blocks of matter- - - have of course substance.  But it's substance alligned with a specific "fabric of space".   One could argue that dirt on a fabric for instance, technically is not a part of the fabric because it "isn't part of the weave".   The whole "loss of gravity" or more accurately "loss of mass" and the accompanying gravity field IN our formatted space- - would disappear, and with it all the newtonian acceleration problems, if we break out into a different algorithm for space.  An object that does not move significantly in its OWN space - - won't be dragged down by Neutonian acceleration problems moving in OUR space.  So it can move THROUGH "our space" but lose the gravity and mass.

Domestic "Black Site Opperation" in Sweet Home Chicago

I have become convinced there is a terrorism psychosis in this country.  It should come as no surprise that you run a greater risk of dying from a heart attack from elevated blood blood pressure and other dangerous chemicals - - than you ever would being killed by terrorists.  It's like a whole terrorism industry in the "Drive by media".  That's how they get ratings.  Point zero two percent or a fiftieth of one percent- - is the number of Muslims that are members of ISIS- - and the Islamic community is righting back saying the Media has been grossly misrepresenting their Faith - - - religion.  Stephanie says there are only twenty thousand people in ISIS worldwide.  I haven’t done the math.   Meanwhile they have done a major “information dump” in Washington’s blog.  They had “Vladimir Putin’s Greatest Hits” of all the times Putin was featured on magazine covers in an adverse way - - worldwide.  But now they have a “Black Site” right in sweet town Chicago.  There is this older building that police throw suspects that might be terrorists or something in - - where they are held in awkward physical conditions and sleep deprived.  They aren’t told what they are charged with and aren’t allowed to make so much as one phone call.  It is not the usual police precinct.  The suspects are not booked and are never a part of the data base.  Hartman believes Republicans don’t complain about this story because “Their loyalty to party is superseded only by their love of secrecy and torture. In this one video this guy tells of his experience in “Guantanamo North” and he was eventually released being found innocent of all charges.  But I’m wondering about Rom Emanuel.  To what extent is Rom Emanual personally involved in this “black site?”  He was forced into an electoral run off, just like we have in Los Angeles where if an individual doesn’t get fifty percent plus one, they go into a run-off with the second highest contender.  Apparently progressives are pleased with how they did in these local elections in Chicago yesterday.   But I’ve read blogs that said “If you condone torture abroad- - it will come to our shores- - it always does”.  This is a variation of Malcolm X’s famous speech about “The chickens coming home to roost”.

I had Rush Limbaugh on who wasn’t making a bit of sense.  He took exception to the NYPD police chief telling a Black audience that police departments have played a dark role in Black history.  We told you that one reason why states wanted the second amendment is so these posse outfits could be sent out by state militias to go after chasing down runaway slaves.  Rush says “Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown were NEVER about civil rights”.  Rush Limbaugh is naturally crowing about the now completed trifecta of the US Dept of Justice deciding NOT to file charges in the Trayvon Martin case, again citing the fact that “the bar is set just too high”.  These people are so obsessed with “high bars” I’m beginning to wonder whether the Justice Department has a major impotency problem, and you can take that remark both ways.  Speaking of “high” Thom Hartman has been running these things all week saying the Dinasaurs of old munched on ergot contaminated grass and so there were these giant reptiles that were all stoned out of their minds, perhaps.  Mike Papentonio is talking about this “Homen Square” black site thing in Chicago.  So this isn’t just a one source flook.  The Guardian of England reported this story.  There are shackeling in painful positions and beatings going on.  If Rom Emanual is tied in with this he deserves to get the boot.  We had cheeseburgers for lunch with French fries and corn chowder and melon for desert.  I had Bill Carol on KFI- - who talked about Bill Handel and becoming grandmother to your own daughter.  Because this grandmother in her sixties wanted eggs from her dead daughter (?) implanted in her presumably with a sperm donor somewhere.  The daughter had died of cancer and the grandmother just wants to resurrect her daughter, much as people want their pooch cloned to bring back Fido once again, they believe.   I can’t help but think that psychologically the pet may become freaked out when the owner “expects certain behavior” that isn’t present.   Mike Papentonio states that you can’t trust National Public Radio any more because NPR has gotten so corporate.  Thursdays usually is when they make last weekend’s program available.

The whole previous paragraph got duplicated somewhere down the line.  When listening to Rush Limbaugh I have to be aware that he is 37th out of 45 radio stations in Los Angeles.  He and Sean Hannity spew pure vitriol and hatred and that's ALL it is.  Other than that, their words are devoid of substance.  The voters who voted in the elections of last November were devoid of any substance of actual knowledge because the real news stories are kept off the over-the-air air waves.  The IQ of the average TV viewer fifty or sixty years ago was a whole lot higher.  Those who knew Franklin Roosevelt were "indoctrinated" (if you will) into a progressive values system.  This is completely gone from both the national media, and the public at large, as history books continued to be purged of any of the classic struggles of progressivism.

Mark Dayton is the governor of Minisota and a democrat, whose success story for that state's economy should be publicised in democratic circles.  Tim Pawlente left the state with a six million dollar deficet in 2011 and Mark Dayton has turned those numbers around and added 665,000 new jobs and raised taxes on those earning over 250,000 dollars from seven percent to nine percent.  (which admittedly sounds steep for a state income tax)  He did this with an all republican state legislature his first two years.  Yet the media doesn't want to talk about him.  Moving on to Scott Walker apparently he was talking on an open microphone when he said he was going to unleash this "divide and conquer" strategy on the Labor Unions there.  He will say he's after Public unions and not private.  But now Scott Walker is openly going after private labor unions in the legislature.  So the guy is a flat out liar.  In terms of Walker not dealing with whether or not Obama is a professing Christian - - - (parentically there is probably more evidence that Obama is a Christian than that I am)  but Rush Limbaugh got in a kurfuffle because he thinks Walker "outsmarted the media" by NOT disowning the Mayor Giuliani remark.  On the contrary he was DEFINING himself.  Now Walker is boxed into a corner- - and anyone in any debate will be able to use this "not a Christian" statement against him, now that he's gone on so public record about it.

Let’s correct some mis-information about that passenger train wreck.  Apparently the truck driver turned left and was disoriented and thought he was driving down the next street instead of the railroad track.  Now there is question as to whether he actually got “stuck” on the track or not.  Of course the man was charged with “hit and run” even though technically the guy did try to get help.  But the accident took place east of Oxnard on an eastbound train.   I don’t know why Sarah (2nd hand reference) was talking about San Bernardino.  There was another major gas tanker train explosion a few days ago will firey billows.  I would only add that as bad as these above ground explosions look- - it would be even worse with a below ground leak where you might not even be aware of all the vast water table damage being done.

The jury in the “American Sniper” trial handed down their verdict yesterday in Texas and the verdict was Guilty on all counts, for killing two people.  They rejected the insanity defense, which was pretty flimsy to begin with.  Eddie Ralph - - will not get the death penalty.  Ralph’s true motive for these two killings remains a mystery.   Now we hear that three ISIS terrorists have been arrested yesterday for attempting to kill the President and other activities.   We are continually arresting Islamic terrorists in this country but there appears to be an endless supply.  These are “self radicalized” people, but these three guys got in touch with ISIS headquarters and asked what suicide mission would be OK with them.  And in one town cops saw “ISIS” in someone’s window and it turned out to be some 21st birthday celebration with writing on the glass and it was reverse.  I guess somehow the “21” was used twice- - and looks like ISIS in reverse.  Meanwhile I read a blog that reiterated the amazingly low risk of being killed by an Islamic terrorist in this country- - which is somewhat lower than drowning in the bathtub or crushed by a refrigerator you were trying to move.   It was suggested that the government redirect their funds to preventing more likely threats such as seat belt enforcement.

George Harrison’s tree was replanted in a ceremony yesterday.  The old pine tree - - - planted in 2002 was eaten last summer by pine beetles.  Actually I’ve heard pine beetles attack trees that are exposed to excessive heat and drought, and it was agreed planting the tree this time of year gives it a better change.  George Harrison would have been 72.   In other news Augustine gave me a whole pack of John Black gold pack just before dinner on February 24th.  Also on February 24th they featured the Dodgers’ first day of spring training with the whole squad.  And yesterday they went to Tempe, Arizona to cover the Angels’ first day of spring training.  They said that unlike the Dodgers, the Angels will keep last year’s line-up intact because were it not for some flook loss in the first round of the play-offs, who knows what would have happened.

There is a senator from Georgia that got a law passed that banned the artificial creation of warewolves, centaurs, and other human-animal hybreds, but if such a creature would occur in nature then that’s allright because they are part of God’s plan of creation.  Stephanie thought this story was from The Onion, but the guy is dead serious.  Is “laboratorily” a word?  Now they are splicing genes to make glow in the dark kitties from using the glow genes in glow in the dark fish.  I heard of something like that being done months ago but put it out of my mind.

In terms of passing a “Clean” Homeland Security bill my position is- -in case I haven’t made it clear that the democrats should grab the deal with both hands and pass the thing.  After all it’s the funding of Homeland Security that we all want because it expires tomorrow.  This is being typed February 26, 2015 and I did not type yesterday when these stories first made the rounds.  The thing is that if the democrats can’t win in a straight up and down vote on a “clean” vote, then as far as they’ve lost and should hang it up.  You win some; you lose some.  But it seems that Mitch Mc Conell and John Boehner were in an unlikely conflict over this issue and what Stephanie said this morning, Boehner backed down, and agreed to pass the democratically influenced bill that had gotten through the US Senate.   So is everybody happy now?

How I would "vet" an aspiring Presidential Candidate

Sean Hannity wanted to make sure that all of the “well qualified candidates” were properly vetted and he’ll be doing a lot of the questioning himself at “C-Pac”.  If it isn’t one group, it’s another.   I’d want to know first their position on Wall Street and the Federal Reserve.  Then I’d like to know their position on the Bush – Chaney war crimes.  Then I’d like to know if they are capable of “thinking out of the box” and coming up with a new solution to deal with ISIS nobody else has thought of, but will likely work.  Are they in favor of cutting off all aid to Saudi Arabia.  They are a a rich country and I see no reason on God’s green earth why we should have to give them anything.  They are the source of all this religious extremism we see in the Mideast today anyhow.  What is the candidate’s position on the Ukraine war.  What do they plan to do with Putin’s nuclear weapon usage threat?   Now we hear that the Mossad came out and admitted that Iran is not a nuclear threat.  Iran has signed the nuclear non polifferation treaty and has regularly allowed international inspectors in.  Israel has not signed this treaty and will not allow outside inspectors in to examine their facilities.  Do they believe in “class warfare” and do they allege that Obama is the “source of it”.  Or like me, so they see the term of “class warfare” as just dog whistle speech for “Let’s screw the poor even more and give the big rich corporation even more power, that is denied the popular electorate”?   Will they institute tax policies that encourage corporations to relocate back to America and to STOP relocating outside the country?  Are they for or against the Trans-Canada oil pipeline?  I heard that President Obama vetoed the pipeline today and if that’s true, than I admire him for doing the right thing for once.   Will this presidential candidate encourage alternative energy sources?   What is this candidate’s position on such Supreme Court issues as gay marriage, and voting rights, and Citizen’s United?   Has this candidate ever favored national constitutional amendments banning all abortions or banning gay marriages nationwide?    What is this candidates position on how the FDA is run, or rather mismanaged?   Do individual states have the right to establish their own environmental laws or laws regarding marijuana, or gay marriage?   What does this candidate think of the “fundamentally transforming of the several states” with laws bashing labor unions, slashing education, and raiding pension funds?   Does this law believe in a consistent and fair application of punishments when it comes to criminal violations- - regardless of the race of the party?

I would "vet" someone professing to be a Christian - - likewise by having him reveal his true positions on things.  Does he, for example, believe in living up to a contract, such as a union contract or a government pension contract?  What is the state of this person's own marital status.  Divorces are fine in some circumstances and at times necessary to recognize that a marriage is officially dead.  But for example do you believe you should divorce because a religious Cult TELLS you you must divorce because your wife or husband is a "spiritual impediment".  How do other women in your past regard you as a person.  Did you part on amenable terms, or are you one of those guys that "Your girl's mother warned her about?"   Do you believe in paying your debts and keeping your promises.  Do you have ulterior motives in the business or personal dealings you conduct.  Are you known as some kind of world class liar by your peers - - or do your peers regard you as a straightforward, upstanding kind of guy.  What do your ex students think and feel about you two years after they were under your tutelage?  Do people have to "unlearn" all of the bullshit that spewed out of your mouth?   How do you feel about wealth and "giving back to society" and generosity to the poor?  What is your position on the wider issues of war and peace?  Are you known as a compassionate, caring person?  Do you defend the down and out?  How do you feel about ecology and saving Planet Earth for the next generation.  Does the idea of greed bother you?  Are you a morally and philosophically consistent person?  Do you pose "intellectually respectable" propositions?   Are you known as an objective person?  Do you have biases you won't admit even to yourself?   This is just a few of the questions I would use to "vet" members of my Church, assuming I had a church to "vet" members into.

I gave my official "sell all stocks" signal the evening after January 14th of this year.  Since then the markets have continued to rise slightly.  If you own oil stocks you should feel secure because oil prices have started upward again.  However best indicators are that oil prices will NOT continue upward to their former lofty prices.  Also there continues to be signs that the demand that fuels any health economy just isn't there, as the statistics below reveal.  So even though you've made money in the past several weeks the best choice STILL is to sell all stocks while you still have the profits on paper.   A paper loss can turn into a real loss if your furniture or house is being reposessed.  At that point you have run out of time.  My advice is to lock in those "paper profits" now as Real, Tangible profits you can hold in your hand.
When the coming economic crisis strikes, more than half the country is going to be financially wiped out within weeks.  At this point, more than 60 percent of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and a whopping 24 percent of the country has more credit card debt than emergency savings.  One of the primary principles that any of these “financial experts” that you see on television will teach you is to have a cushion to fall back on.  At the very least, you never know when unexpected expenses like major car repairs or medical bills will come along.  And in the event of a major economic collapse, if you do not have any financial cushion at all you will be a sitting duck.  Yes, I know that there are millions upon millions of families out there that are just trying to scrape by from month to month at this point.  I hear from people that are deeply struggling in this economy all the time.  So I don’t blame them for not being able to save lots of money.  But if you are in a position to build up an emergency fund, you need to do so.  We have been experiencing an extended period of relative economic stability, but it will not last.  In fact, the time for getting prepared for the next great economic downturn is rapidly running out, and most Americans are not ready for it at all.  The following are 14 signs that most Americans are flat broke and totally unprepared for the coming economic crisis…
#1 According to a survey that was just released, 24 percent of all Americans have more credit card debt than emergency savings.
#2 That same survey discovered that an additional 13 percent of all Americans do not have any credit card debt, but they do not have a single penny of emergency savings either.
#3 At this point, approximately 62 percent of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
#4 Adults under the age of 35 in the United States currently have a savings rate of negative 2 percent.
#5 More than half of all students in U.S. public schools come from families that are poor enough to qualify for school lunch subsidies.
#6 A study that was conducted last year found that more than one out of every three adults in the United States has an unpaid debt that is “in collections“.
#7 One survey discovered that 52 percent of all Americans really cannot even financially afford the homes that they are living in right now.
#8 According to research conducted by Atif Mian of Princeton University and Amir Sufi of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, 40 percent of Americans could not come up with $2000 right now without borrowing it.
#9 That same study found that 60 percent of Americans could not say yes to the following question…
“Do you have 3 months emergency funds to cover expenses in case of sickness, job loss, economic downturn?”
#10 A different study discovered that less than one out of every four Americans has enough money stored away to cover six months of expenses.
#11 Today, the average American household is carrying a grand total of 203,163 dollars of debt.
#12 It is estimated that less than 10 percent of the entire U.S. population owns any gold or silver for investment purposes.
#13 48 percent of all Americans do not have any emergency supplies in their homes whatsoever.
#14 53 percent of all Americans do not even have a minimum three day supply of nonperishable food and water in their homes.
Perhaps none of this concerns you.
Perhaps you think that this bubble economy can persist indefinitely.
Maybe if you can make yourself not think about it at all, the whole thing will go away.

It's A Mundane World

That photo is just to wake you all up, including myself.

Birdman won best picture and best director at the academy awards.  Apparently the song from “Selma” called “Glory” or something, won.  The best actor from “The Theory of Everything” won.  The best news of course was that “American Sniper” – didn’t win.  I was so worried about that.  I was afraid they’d hype the movie till it couldn’t help but win.    But “Hollywood likes films about Hollywood”.   I don’t get this “Boyhood” thing.  How can you tell a young boy he’ll be starring in a movie twelve years from now?  It makes no sense.  Billy Crystal, Ellen Degenerous or Whoopi Goldberg were better comedians than they had on this year, according to Bill Press.  Bill didn’t think “Birdman” was that great.  Bill Press, from his Washington DC perspective thinks the Oscars are on at the wrong time on a Sunday night.  It’s now colder and much cloudier than it was at breakfast time.  More rain looks possible.  Even though I’m in better health now I still am tired a lot.  Last night for dinner we had the awful teriyaki chicken with rice and mixed vegetables.  But we got pie for dessert.   There did turn out to be rain- - though not at four thirty- - but at some time after five when rain was reported in Hollywood.  As expected the rain was heaviest in places like Pasadena.   I missed the opening monolog of the Academy awards and really have been apathetic about this year’s awards.  I also dialed away at seven to see the Bob Simon tribute on Sixty Minutes.  I watched the first half hour.  “I’ve Been Everywhere” would be a great RL update song for this guy.  He actually “reassigned himself” because he didn’t like that his “promotion” was a desk job.

In congress on February 11th there was a move to grant congressional medals for a neglected aspect of American History.  There was a tribute to the “foot soldiers of Selma” in Congress that actually got by-partisan support.  Both the Dem and the Rep speech highlighted the facts.  Sunday, bloody Sunday was the day of the massacre on the Edmond Petis bridge.   Were they told not to cross that bridge, or was it just because they are easier targets when on a bridge?   That was March 7th and then there was “Turnaround Tuesday” on March 9th 1965.  Martin Luther King was marching with them but stopped at the site of the massacre on Sunday and knelt to pray, and then felt a peace from the Spirit about just turning around and going back.  I watched a thing on Cyber Security at the Governor’s conference.  Governor Snyder was chairman but was unable to appear because of over-stressing himself in exercise.  Then there was some survey that showed that Europeans really go for the latest trade treaty between the United States and Europe.  Only in Germany and in Austria did the measure not get a majority of approval with the people.  The people are fools.  They would give away their higher standards of production and safety and cleanliness just because that dirty Black guy in the White House wants them to.    I had “Face the Nation” on and John Mc Cain was a guest.   The Ukraine is being carved up like the West Bank with access corridors and things.  Putin seems to care not a bit that the cease fire was violated as longer as Russia gains the military advantage.

MORON MAY YOUR "JULIE, JULIE, JULIE DOES HE LOVE AMERICA?  I’m going to try and scrape together enough material for a blog posting today.   Thom Hartman and others say that Giuliani has no business talking about “The values he was raised with” because Barock Obama’s grandfather fought in the landing at Normandy on D Day.  On the contrary - -  Giuliani’s father led a life of life of crime, as a shake-down artist and beating up people, smashing knee caps.  Two gentlemen should mutually agree “I don’t want to play that game” but now that the Ex Mayor has opened the door- - I guess family is fair game.  But now the mayor had doubled down the next day- - refusing to retract anything.  On the Sean Hannity show he piles it on ever so thick saying ‘Unlike Obama- - - I actually lived through 9 – 11”.    Since Michael Steel has been a regular on “Hardball” he had moderated his far right political stances.

I had this dream as part of a recurring dream.  I’d have these recurring dreams about Dad taking me to this doctor’s office to get this special psychotropic drug that makes you feel funny but apparently after a while “you get used to it’ and it has “unique benefits to people with my condition”.   Well now this drug has a name called Nagano, and Ron Rhodes also takes it.  And the drug has gone commercial because there is a game called BIM - - that involves patterns and lines and you have to take the drug to alter your brain perception so you see other patterns in the lines and excel in the game.  (Is there an actual game called BIM?) But they said if you exceed four milligrams the “brain resets itself” and (?) you no longer get the distorted perception.   Can anybody decipher the meaning?

At this point in the month of February physically I’m about feeling back to normal, or at least as healthy as very early in the month.   My blogger rates are about half of what they were as there regularly seems to be less inspiration out there, at least for me, to write about.   Free Speech radio never again went live in the morning and pretty much went off entirely, period.  We had mushroom soup and tuna sandwiches for lunch.  Not my favorite on either account.  We had coleslaw and a banana for desert.  I let Sean Hannity rave hysterically a while and then turned him off about twenty after.  But when I turned on the TV there was this vertical streak thing on the screen a few seconds.  Normally I wouldn’t pay such a thing any attention, but big problems begin as little problems such as this.  It may take several months for the situation to get really bad but I imagine in time there will come a point when the TV is unusable.  I watched Days of our Lives.  Rico only served us one coffee and then went to the Senior Topics class.  But we also got small containers of lemon ice milk or something- - that didn’t spare the yellow food coloring.

In terms of my finances there are three and a half days to go till I get paid.  I should be glad but another problem just struck me.  If some sort of check isn’t cashed BEFORE the end of this month I’ll exceed the legal two thousand dollars in money in my account I’m allowed to have and I won’t get dinged $35.00 but perhaps a thousand dollars, which sounds insane, but that’s the way the law is written.  The idea of “real assets” meaning fresh money from an outside source never occurred to these people.  They aren’t interested in causality – only bank figures, and I’ve been down this road before them and barely escaped with my financial life.   Every day I don’t buy coffee or cigarettes I figure I’ve “saved” money.   So arguably since I have not bought ANY cigarettes or coffee in three days- - that’s at least nine dollars, as I figure it.  If I write this place out a new place for ten dollars I can “spend” up to ten more dollars in the next three and a half days.   I didn’t even get to ask about the hike in drug co pays this month.

Hunter Thomas and the Meaning of Life

There are two death anniversaries now.  February 21st 1965 is the fiftieth anniversary of Malcolm X’s birthday.  Malcolm blames the Nation of Islam for firebombing his home when he and his little children sleeping in it.  They were trying to kill him.  They played the “By Any Means” speech from July of 1964.  Malcolm was already using the term “Afro-American”.   Then they played “The Ballot and the Bullet” speech from “About a year before he died” meaning earlier.  In this speech he says Black people have been made fools out of by not only Whites, but also by the Martin Luther King march on Washington.  The other death anniversary is today February 20th of 2005 when Hunter Thompson took his own life blowing his brains out.  He left a suicide note to his wife.  He was 67.   He was a long time journalist for the Rolling Stone and was kind of a modern day Ernest Hemingway.  He believed in being where the action was.  He was raised in Louisville KY, and unable to finish high school, but joined the Air Force and apparently got an early honorable discharge (?) because he held an outside job.  In the early sixties he traveled to other countries like to the Caribean and Brazil.  They he hitchhiked his way around America for a few months but in mid 1964 he got a job in Big Sur, but I believe he got fired from that.  Eventually he wound up in San Francisco and began investigating the Hell’s Angels.  But he crossed them by getting information about their group and not giving them any royalties.  It’s the Steve Jobs super pig sidrone.  So they beat him up for it.  He later write a whole book about the “Hell’s Angels” in 1967.   He didn’t respect the hippy culture when he returned to Height – Ashberry again in the summer of 1967.   He says they represented neither the “Beat Generation” nor the “New Left” but just was out to get as many drugs as they could lay their hands on.  I’ve always regarded certain aspects of the Hippy movement as self obsessed, with that “The me generation” thing.  Then he wrote “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” and then wrote a book on the 1972 Presidential campaign.   This man despised Nixon something fierce.  But at some point in the late 1970’s he was considered rather passé by his peers.  But he lived on of course.  By 2001 he was already 64 or something.  This is where Thom Hartman commented upon him today.  I had the initial impression the guy was a lot more “current” than he was.  I must say that after you die you’ll face your toughest critics because you won’t be around to stick up for your own views, and people will no longer fear “saying something to hurt your feelings”.  And you’ve got to wonder what your whole life amounted to in the long time scheme of things.

This whole listing of wars of the United States is a little strange.  Two of the most pernicious wars nobody ever heard of.  Texas and Indian wars and “US Forces Invade Mexico” long after the Mexican war.   We do have the “Banana war”.   But basically the era of the least conflicts the United States was in was the decade or more before World War II.  On Hardball they were telegraphing US intent to try and take back the town Mozel from ISIS.  Mozel sounds a little Jewish like Mozeltoff or something.  At any rate, the United States plans to escalate the current war.  So it's early 1965 and Viet Nam all over again.

Thom Hartman says that butane or other “ane” petroleum product- - can be made to burn hotter than it normally would by force feeding the flame oxygen.  The trouble with this there is with the buildings on 9 – 11 there was n giant apperatus like a blow torch force-feeding the fire what amounts to a hurricane of oxygen.  Besides the black smoke shows that these flames were actually starved of oxygen and would eventually burn more slowly.  But whoever was behind the demolitions of 9 – 11 figured an hour was as long as an average American would wait to “see something happen” and still have it believable.  Hartman says “It’s highly unlikely these explosions were intensionally set because someone would see them setting it”.  He ignores all the reports of workers telling various people “this area is off limits now” or things are being “retro-fitted” or something.   Clearly people who have seem deliberate demolitions of buildings, know this scene looks just like one of those scenes.  Hartman ignores the enormous speeds which projectiles were thrown through the air at.  He also ignores the presence of “thermite” and the fact that parts of this wreckage were glowing red hot for three months.   You have to have a bias against believing this happened, in order to disregard all the facts pointing to that it did.

The Dow Jones Industrials just closed at an all time high of 18,140.   OK this is an accomplishment.  It’s five weeks after I issued my “sell” signal.  I said at the time I thought it was better to be premature rather than be too late.  If the market had continued going down you would have lost a considerable amount of profit by now.  My goal was to lock in as much of that profit as you could so it’s safe.  But in the process you’ve missed out on some gains.

This “Polar vortex” is a misnomer in this sense.  We are supposed to have a tightly confined “vortex” low pressure in the Arctic regions.  Although in Sci Fi movies the term "vortex" is used to describe some "other kind of mystery space".  I thought the generic definition was "the center of a rotation".  If you are a Deist Ecologist as I fancy myself you believe "God" made earth's climate the way it was for a reason, with the cold regions pushed to the far north.  But of course the jet stream is weaker and gapes downward into the heartland of the United States because ironically it is not as cold as usual.  Don’t tell that to the people in Nashville.  None of the snow in Boston has melted but only piles up continually.  This whole “Polar Express” is still continuing this weekend.

This next story would have been our lead paragraph in blogger if I could verify it.  There was news on KNX radio that the nine month long Longshorman strike on the West Coast is now over and that an agreement had been reached.  People on the Union side are happy with the package that is being presented for agreement.  As you know it was impacting business in a major way and it was about to get worse whether it’s sprockets or items in a department store- - when the pipeline gets clogged up nothing gets done.   In the past I’ve had a whole problem with strikes in general wondering why strike breakers aren’t hired the next day to end the thing.  The way I see it it all comes down to an adults “Inherent right to make a contract”.  But apparently some kind of law says you can’t do that.  However when you Google the story you don’t get a lot of confirmation and the story was not included in the headline articles.

Thom Hartman flagged my attention yesterday with both the 9 - 11 reference and particularly in regard to Hunter Thomas.  This individual may constitute a part of the "Howard Richards" myth or loore.  It's the whole living on the edge bating your opponents and taking chances thing, and getting yourself killed at an early age.  The guy himself physically viewed himself as in Hemingway's legacy, and was interested with the details of his life.  The best I can do with my pathetic life is be an admirer or someone else like that Soliari guy was with Wolfgong Mozart in the movie.  So I idolize people like John Lennon, Jim Morrison and Bob Dylan - - regardless of whether the three of them idolize each other.  Of course I'm also Me, and do things in my own way and put my own spin on things.  But as long time readers may or may not go- - - if we go back, back, into the remote past of June 2005 I make reference to a birth of a boy that took place, who was prophesied to be the man Isaac Newton prophesied would "break the bonds of gravity".   To my way of doing this would be the Romulan cloaking device.  This prophesied person would be 56 already by the time he piloted his first Star Ship with this new anti gravity device.  I'm not even sure of the date of birth.  I think it's mid June but it might be early July of 2005.  The last time I ever saw him was around age eight, and he was wearing a Batman costume.  He'll be ten in a few months.  I'd like to get the Federation to come out and say whether it's the incarnation of Hunter Thomas, the individual described in the above paragraph.

An Epidemic of Disrespect for the President

No Longer Focused On Deposits Or Loans but they just love those taxpayer funded bail-outs.  This is our lead topic for today.

Bloomberg reported last month:
Banks don’t have a need for deposits, and the demand for loans by households and firms is weak,” Niels Storm Stenbaek, chief economist at the Danish Bankers Association, said in a phone interview.
Wait … what?
Banks don’t need deposits?   They’re not giving many loans?  Isn’t that what banks do?
If they’re not collecting deposits and making loans, what are they doing?  In reality, big banks aren’t really acting like banks anymore.  Big banks do very little traditional banking, since most of their business is from financial speculation. For example, we noted in 2010 that less than 10% of Bank of America’s assets come from traditional banking deposits.
The big banks are manipulating every market.   They’re also taking over important aspects of thephysical economy, including uranium mining, petroleum products, aluminum, ownership and operation of airports, toll roads, ports, and electricity.  And they are using these physical assets to massively manipulate commodities prices … scalping consumers of many billions of dollars each year (more hereand more).
Apart from the above-described manipulation, virtually all of the big banks’ profits come from taxpayer bailouts and subsidies  (see thisthis and this).  Why don’t they need deposits? Because the taxpayers are showering them with money.   And they don’t need deposits because – as is now admitted by the mainstream – banks create money out of thin air.  In other words, banks don’t need deposits in order to make loans.   At the same time,  the big banks have sat on the money the government threw at them – with the encouragement of the Fed – instead of loaning it out to Main Street to kickstart the economy. As wenoted in 2012, small banks are much more interested in making loans to the little guy than the TBTFs:  USA Today points out:
Banks that received federal assistance during the financial crisisreduced lending more aggressively and gave bigger pay raises to employees than institutions that didn’t get aid, a USA TODAY/American University review found.
Dennis Santiago – CEO and Managing Director of Institutional Risk Analytics … notes:    The vast majority of this contraction of credit availability to American industry has been by the larger banks ….
Fortune reports that smaller banks are stepping in to fill the lending void left by the giant banks’ current hesitancy to make loans. Indeed, the article points out that the only reason that smaller banks haven’t been able to expand and thrive is that the too-big-to-fails have decreased competition ….
The issue today is respect for the office of President.  My brother told me he personally regards disrespect for the President of the United States – to be a sin, no matter who it is.  There are certain things we just accepted as normal procotol in previous times.  We used to say “Politics stops at the water’s edge”.   You don’t drag foreign nations into a domestic political conflict to somehow try and use that particular nation as a pawn to win some argument or conflict.  People today have been pointing out all of these “misspeaks” of people stepping over the line.  A spokesman for Mitt Romney (?) stated in 2012 that “President Obama’s problem is that he needs to learn how to be a real American”.   And then Mike ‘Huckelberry’ said a couple of weeks ago that President Obama was not a real Christian, and therefore somehow unqualified to be president.   Then we have just this week former New York Mayor Giuliani saying that “President Obama wasn’t raised the way you and I were raised, and he never learned to love America like you and I love it”.   And there have been other rants lately of “Any time President Obama speaks of America it’s only to run it down.  He can’t say anything good about America”.   I find all of these remarks perplexing.  It would seem even Bill Press takes exception into President Obama not referring to ISIS and the like as “Islamic terrorists”.   Clearly they are a branch of Sunni Moslems and they call themselves the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.  I don’t how much more obvious about it they can be, especially when they occupy much of - - Iraq and Syria.  I guess if it were me in Obama’s shoes- - I’d have to wonder whether I would get the same criticism or since I was raised entirely in America and went to American schools - - that I would get a “pass”.  It’s a fact that can’t be repeated too often that had the President not pushed the Affordable Care act through congress, it’s hard to say how much of this political flack he would have been spared of.  Maybe the tea party movement wouldn’t have gotten going to begin with back in 2009 because back in those days- - the lion’s share of the attacks were strictly anti Obama Care.

The other big political firestorm is Bruce Rouner’s slash and burn tacticts in Illimois where everything is getting slashed in funds and the income tax is being reduced - - and now out of the 35 states that have the state Income Tax, Illinois is right about at the bottom.   The Koch Brothers have an exceedingly close relationship with Governor Scott Walker, and it’s becoming more and more apparent that Walker is the odds on favorite to be the Republican nominee for President next summer.  From a Cosmic point of view there are certain entities which the Federation will go after and others, such as Rupert Merdoch, FOX news, and the Koch Brothers, that they tread gingerly around and they have their own cosmic reasons for doing that.   But they’ll go after General Electric and NBC, and Monsanto.  Not even China will accept our genetically modified organism grains and produce.   But Monsanto is protected by law from any and every law suit.  Many corporations are now or will be protected by statute when the Trans Pacific Partnership goes through.   I won’t even THINK about regarding this President as any kind of progressive till he goes after Wall Street and changes the people he puts up for approval for cabinet posts.  I won’t accept him until he goes after Monsanto and all the other “Monsanto light” chemical companies spreading their mass form of pollution.  Returning to the Federation for the moment - - - as you know after Mal Evans left minister of communication - - -another guy came in - - the guy who was called “anti Earth interest” but he left and another guy came in and now he’s gone and the Federation is looking into candidates.   One of the applicants for the job is a Taccoman, which Mal Evans raised howls of protest over.  Mal wanted moral support so he contacted Jim Morrison on Andromeda, but Jim’s support of Mal on this point was pretty weak - - saying “There’s nothing wrong with having a foreign applicant for a high post.  This has been done a number of times” (perhaps referring to himself being hired by Mal)  But one Taccoman leader let it slip as a “known fact” the true Cosmic identity of the nation of Israel.  But others said “Outliers aren’t supposed to know that information” and since I heard the remark, I thought he might mean Me.   I considered it a profitable fact to learn.  OK this ends the “short version” of this commentary.
