Republicans Need To Get With the Times

As Ed Schultz points out- - so many of the talking points Republicans have relied upon have disapated within the past year or so.  They said that if taxes went up that unemployment would go back up.  Payroll taxes for every American went up on January first and tax rates of those earning over 400,000 went ever so slightly.  Yet the unemployment rate went down from 7.9% to 7.7%.   Others have said that the Sequester would decimate new jobs, and yet these people are off by a factor of ten in their figuring.  The job number is really 75,000 jobs and not 750,000 jobs.  People say "This is well and good but Ronald Reagan saw a far more robust improvement this far into his 2nd term.  The trouble is first there is a thirty year time differential.  You then have the fact that the 1982 recession was caused almost exclusively by the Federal Reserve tightening by Carter appointee Paul Volker.  He is the one responsable for creating that Recession and responsible for ending it.  Let's tackle another lie.  Jeff Sessions stated last Saturday that Obama's policies are "to grow the size of government rather than grow the economy".  And yet there has been a more massive loss in public sector jobs in the past four years than ever in our history. Otherwise the job creation tables would be rosier than they are now.  On the other hand Ronald Reagan grew the size of government massively.  Also the deficet on a percentage growth bases- - grew a LOT more than it has grown the past four years.  But nobody complained then.  Reagan gave blanket amnesty to illegal aliens and nobody complained.  The Republicans still bely their true intensions in this area because they say "in addition to a path way to citizenship what we need is a guest worker program".  WHY ???  I thought the whole point was to get aliens OUT of this country because they TAKE domestic jobs and LOWER the wage base.  Bush of course put out a book coming out against immigration reform but today on Face the Nation he is backing off from those assertions of a book written last year.  Because the Republican Party itself has leap-frogged over him on this issue.  Perhaps it's just the Mc Cain-ization that happens to any Republican candidate as a prerequisite to running in the Republican primary.  Republicans are afraid to vote for a Violence against Women act because they fear "being primaried on the right".  Or they'll say they'll go for some protection but not Native American women- who are routinely raped by White men coming on to the reservation.  But Jeb Bush- - and any of these people don't seem to merit the college degrees they say they've earned.  Dr. Levy has a doctorate- - yet in so many ways he is one of the most mentally and intellectually shallow people I've ever met, and has a basic emotional maturity- - reminicent of some of the Space Aliens that Captain James T Kirk meets on his travels.  These Republicans say they are against polarization this country.  Yet their whole campaign strategy is based on the notion of polarization, and Mitt Rolmney's 47% rant - - proved it.  Most liberals would not mind a multi party system because after all this is a big country and there is room for everybody to express their beliefs.  But the Republicans are almost religiously comitted to a two party system.  Rush Limbaugh would go further.  He would say there are Conservatives - - and there are Liberals- - and that's IT.  Anyone who professes any other belief "is only fooling themselves" Rush would say.  But then they simplify it to the Right party - - and the Wrong party.  And then they go on to say that the Right people to direct your ads to- - is that top one percent who got their taxes raised- - a little.  The Republicans assume these people are "Everybody".  And everything they do is tailored to that elite segment of the society.  For instance in North Dakota recently- - milk for school kids funding was cut.  This is because the taxes on the big oil producers in that state were just cut two percent.  This was done "to make North Dakota more competetive with other states" although they already in that one state posess eleven percent of the market.   Part of the difference is philosophy.  When I investigate something I actively search or some might say "Hunt" for the Truth.  The same way a male shopper goes into a grocerey store and does his business and gets what he needs and gets out.  But women are "grazers".  Some people read like "grazers".  They will read tons of the same sort of literature- - such as Catholic literature as one person around here said.  They want to "get fed" picking up on the grazing metaphor again.  But they aren't AFTER any particular goals.  They are far less concerned with learning new FACTS than they are kind of being "messaged" and "feeling good about what they already believe".   Dr. Levy seems to be this type of individual.  But if you don't already agree with him - you can expect a major argument.  So for instance this whole Acorn scam where they send in someone pretending to be a prostitute- - having this scenario or "script' already intheir minds about "Proving' that ACORN has no dissernment at all- but in reality the ACORN officials had already alerted the Police as to a possible problem here.

Let's take a look at simple math.  "It's the Math - - Stupid".  I have a major problem believing that a lot of the people who flash their doctorates and bachelors degrees have actually earned them when such mental stupidity comes out of their mouth.  For instance we have Dr. Levy's remark about "I think that very soon I might earn in excess of 250,000 dollars but I have my fears about that- - because due to my taxes going up I just might have to cut back on my giving to my synagogue.  How many knows- - you never get taxes on income you DON'T earn.  Anyone who EARNS more money will always HAVE more money.  Let's get real for once.  Some have said "Jack Kennedy's greatest contribution to the country was the cutting of tax rates for the rich from 91% to 70%".  Larry Elder said this even though this tax cut wasn't even passed untill October of 1964.  But lets take a look at it.  So you have ten percent spendable income and it now goes up to thirty percent or tripples.  Will this person spend more money and put money into circulation?  Yes.  But now let's tackle this statement by Jeb Bush that "When the increase of the economy goes from 1.5% to 3.5% then tax revenues rise exponentially.  I'm not sure if he even knows what that word means.  Does Bush know the difference between a straight factor, a geometric factor, and an exponential or logarithmic factor?  My guess is he's at best fuzzy.  Any grammer school kid can tell you what will happen   That is that the person with the 3.5% growth rate will earn two percent more money.  That's a factor of 1.02 - - if Jeb even knows how to use a calculator.  The thing is that this business about cutting taxes to raise revenues and cut deficets has failed every time it's been tried notibly in 1965 and in 1983.  They want to cut corporate taxes from 35% to 15% and claim that this will NOT decrease revenue but rather Increase it.  This is an insult to everyone's intelligence.  Lest there be any illusion about "prices coming down" we need look no further than the windfall of profits property owners got with Proposition 13 passed in 1978 here in California.  Rants actually Rose dramaticlly with property tax cuts.  Keep in mind a corporations earning power, classically- under our old friend Adam Smith- - would dictate that is the People ie Customers have more money to spend- - then revenues and sales of business will rise.  But we know that with a tax cut for business- - the profits go straight into the hands of the ECO's or secondarily the stock holders.  Corporations have amazing ways of "boosting their profit margin" that has little relation to the business they are actually doing.  People like Mitt Romney seem to care little about the Product the company is actually be Producing.  (Selah)  Let's tackle another lie by the Republicans.  We already hit this but- - it's the government sector that has LOST jobs and not the private sector.   But of course there is another repeated false mantra that "Government spending takes away jobs".  No - government spending stimulates jobs- - just as these big tax credits and such for the oil companies stimulates jobs.  No one is disputing this.  I find it strange that Dr. Levy claims to have read John Maynard Kaynes.  And yet does he know the most important thing about him in that his policies WORKED in a major way in decades gone by in American history?  No.  Dr. Levy will not admit this basic fact.  Dr.  Levy is like a guy who claims to be a Racecar Driver yet other drivers who listen to him talk for twenty seconds figure out pretty quickly that this guy has never been in so much as one Indy auto race.  And a few minutes later this fact becomes apparent even to others with a more passive interest in auto racing.  Dr. Levy has never owned a business.  But he would presume authority- - as someone who had. President Obama has been one of the frientdiest Presidents to the Wall Street comunnity they have ever had.  The conservative guest on the Ed Schultz show even admitted that the Big Banks need to be broken up to make it fairer for the smaller banks to compete.

First of all I am pleased with the recent blog reader numbers on the last blog run of posts.  Keep it up.  This month things will all be happening "later in the month".  It's funny how some things are always going to happen "later".  The court will rule on DOMA - - later.  They will pick a Pope but probably not for two weeks from Tuesday the 12th and whether a new Pope will be in place for the events of Holy Week is problematical at this point.  Congress will get to work "Later" but it better not be TOO late because Easter is coming and these people will probably need another two week fund raising vacation by then.  They promise they will actually "pass a budget' in the Senate - after four years.  We will tackle the whole debt ceiling crisis, and just perhaps the sequester 'crisis" if you must call it that.  Jan Brewer of Arizona now is taking exception to the cutback in border agents.  Some of these sequester cutbacks like the eliminating of military Air Shows and the eliminating of White House tours, seem highly counter-productive, from a public relations point of view.  And of course in the past day around here - - Spring seems to have arrived, at least for now.  We have had a rather cool and windy winter around here.  There is a High that has stationed itself out in the pacific that diverts Storms to Washington State and BC, and also sucks cold air from the north down here in a continued clockwise action.  We are told there'll be a ruling on Proposition 8 by the High Court soon.  I think all these gay married couples are entitled to know whether their marriages are "legit' or not.  And tax people want to know how to figure their taxes, if they're gay.

We actually have three closely related theories on the creation of the Universe.  The one I pitched to Dr. Levy and I came up with in September of 2004 kind of what is the "portable black hole theory" like in Yellow Submarine.  That if I have a "black hole' in my pocket- - and I use it and crawl through the Hole- and then pick it up again so that nobody ever knew it was there.  We have rather oxy-moronic terms such as "sequestered time' and "sequestered Infinity".  This theory would say that WHEN the universe was created is immitarial and beyond that - - Unknowable.  We then come to the classic theory of mine- - but Mark Campbell first came up with it.  This is the "Bones" or Stewart Sutcliffe theory- - or graphically one might call the "Star Burst' theory.  This is one that says there was "null space"  (a term Mark Campbell used) where you have the starburst symbol.  When the Universe exploded, when that "cosmic match was struck" it was indeed at a Fixed and Knowable point in time- - from whence All "Time" exploding out in whatever dimension, proceeds.  We are but one aspect.  We are what you might call a "specific' or isolated aspect.  Since each aspect of Time is inherently a new directional dimension- - no measurements of a cross-universe nature can ever be performed.  It would be like- - an office layout on the fourth floor as apposed to the first.  The two never intersect and so one has no relation (hypothetically) to the other.  Each is isolated and therefore not "comprable".  In my latest version of the Creation of the Universe a couple of weeks ago- - - there remain these parrellel Universes.  But unlike in the Starburst theory where cosmic differences and incompatabilities are from inherent differences in the Time dimension itself-  here there is a common "template of time" shared by all.  The differences arise not from Time- - which if anything has that God Uniting force- - but rather karmic or event driven or some may say "inherent property differences" between the "stuff" of what each Universe is composed of.  Each Universe has its own karmic vector and this sideways events-of things gone by - - residual force- - is what causes the divergence.  By the way- - Null Space - - has a possible definition as "Unformatted space".  Because in a graph, the area under the graph - - is significant, either in length- - or perhaps in actual area under a line graph and volumes can be compared and dissected.  But the space on the chart that is White- - (default color) is "unformatted space" in that it has not been "value initialized" to use a computer program term.  An uninitialized variable- - or to back up, an un-Typed variable - - is a variable in name only.  Of course a "null" variable entry is interperated as "No entry" and - hopefully a default mechanism is in place to handle this one.  Many times entering a "null" will be like - - getting a free pass without committing yourself.  Your answer is "I refuse to answer" but that registers as an Answer, for instance, if you are standing on the Fifth Amendment.
